Facial implants for the chin and cheek

Facial implants are not only used for cosmetic or rejuvenating purposes, but are also used in reconstructive surgery, and are a relatively easy and cost effective way to strengthen a weak chin or to give fullness to flat cheeks or to emphasize the jaw line. It is also an easy way to achieve facial symmetry.

    • The one implant that we have had personal experience with, is that of a polyethylene implant, which is inert and porous, made by Porex, which gives the plastic surgeon great flexibility since it can be carved and molded in theatre for final adjustments.
    • This type of implant is readily accepted by the body and is a very stable type of implant and is not associated with bone erosion. Your desired size implant is delivered to your plastic surgeon in sterile and ready-to-use packaging.
